THE WORD OF GOD IS FLAWLESS
Psalm 18:1-50
Key Verse: 18:30

1. Who wrote this Psalm? When did he sing this? What did he declare in verses 1-2? What is a "horn" in this context? What kind of difficulties did he experience and mention? What happened after he prayed and believed in God's deliverance? (6b-15) Think about how he could rely on his human achievements and credentials and take more credit, but instead gave full credit to God's work of deliverance.

NOR WILL YOU LET YOUR HOLY ONE SEE DECAY
Psalm 16-17
Key Verse: 16:10
"because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay."

Our first Psalm today is a Messianic Psalm. Speaking by the Holy Spirit, David prophesies about the coming of the Messiah whose body will not see decay. The Psalmist had a living hope to participate in the resurrection. We can hope for many things, like getting a PhD, getting married, having many children or buying something. The best hope is to have a living hope in God's kingdom through the resurrection. In the following Psalm he asks God, "Keep me as the apple of your eye", and we learn that a godly person puts God before him and leaves a blessing to those who those who follow.

THE WORDS OF THE LORD ARE FLAWLESS
Psalm 11-12
Key Verse: 12:6
"And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times."

We are covering 2 Psalms. We will learn that God examines men and acts in justice. We will also see the contrast between man’s word and God’s word. God’s word is flawless. May God bless us as we listen to God’s word.

CHRIST WAS RAISED ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES
1 Corinthians 15:1-11
Key Verse: 15:3-4
"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures"
Happy Easter!
This passage is from Paul's letter to the Corinthian church. It reminds them of man's hope in Jesus through the death and resurrection. Paul could give them a lot of human advice or practical help, or even many laws and regulations to solve their personal problems. Instead he preached the gospel to them. This passage reveals how witnessing the resurrection of Jesus changed people. Like them we also need to be reminded of the gospel and to hold firmly to it.

CHRIST WAS RAISED ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES
1Corinthians 15:1-58
Key Verse: 15:3-4

I. THE GOSPEL OF THE RESURRECTION (1-11)
1. Of what did Paul want to remind them? (1) What should we do to be saved? (2) What is the essence of the gospel? (3-4) Why did Jesus die on the cross? (Isa 53:5-6; 1Pe 2:24) What fundamental problem did Christ's resurrection solve? (Ro 6:23; Heb 9:27) Think about the importance of the phrase "according to the Scriptures."
