THE VOICE OF THE LORD IS POWERFUL
Ps 28-29
Key Verse: 29:4
“The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.’

Thank God that through the word of God, we can have direction in life on how to solve problems. Through God's mercy, we can live a new life and depend on the power of God. Today's first Psalm contrasts a sincere godly life with a life lived before men's eyes. He concludes that God is the strength of his people and the source of salvation. Today's second Psalm declares that the voice of the LORD is powerful and majestic. The voice of the LORD can shake nature and accomplish the Creator's will. The word of God is very powerful and can change even very stubborn people.

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
Psalm 23-24
Key Verse: 23:1
"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want."
Today we will cover 2 Psalms. Psalm 23 is especially one of the most well-known Psalms: the LORD is my shepherd. We are under the care of the chief shepherd. The shepherd takes care of the sheep and guides them to green pastures. Likewise, God is our shepherd, who guides us to green pastures. Our God wants to have a personal relationship with us which lasts forever. We also learn that God is the King of glory who is strong and mighty in battle.

HE HAS NOT DESPISED THE SUFFERING OF HIS AFFLICTED ONE
Psalm 21-22
Key Verse: 22:24
"For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help."

Today we will continue through the book of Psalms, covering 2 more Psalms. Psalm 22 is an amazing prophesy about the Messiah, who would be the afflicted one. It prophesies details about the death of Jesus. Through this Psalm we can see God's sovereign hand in history and plan to bring the afflicted one who did not retaliate, but trusted in God to win the final victory. In Psalm 21 we will also learn about the king who trusts in the LORD.

HE HAS NOT DESPISED THE SUFFERING OF HIS AFFLICTED ONE
Psalm 21 -22
Key Verse: 22:24

I. The King Trusts In The LORD (Ps 21)
1. Who wrote this Psalm? What is the main theme of this Psalm? (21:1,7,7) What kind of strength does he rejoice in? Where does he acknowledge his victories come from? How is God's blessing described described in 21:3? Based on 21:4 how can we say that this applies first to the Messiah and not other kings? What does this say about how the Messiah is different from all other kings and people in human history?

THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD
Psalm 19-20
Key Verse: 19:1
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."

Today we will look at another two Psalms. The main points are that God speaks to us and reveals his perfect will through nature and the Bible. God also is mighty to save and wants us to rely on him and not depend on chariots, horses, human alliances or human solutions. Any person can be truly fulfilled when he realizes the Creator God made the world by his power and is speaking through his word. Having this knowledge is better than buying any new appliance, or electronic device.

THE WORD OF GOD IS FLAWLESS
Psalm 18:1-50
Key Verse: 18:30
"As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him."

David sings a song of triumphant victory with God's help. With faith in God David won the victory in his personal life and rendered glory to God. We learn several things in this passage. We must win the victory over Satan's work every day. We must acknowledge what God did in my life. David considered that the word of God is flawless and perfect. We learn in this passage how David was considered a great man in God's history.
